Tambopata Parrot Clay Lick Tour: 6 Days
Day 1
From the Puerto Maldonado airport, we will go to the river port to board a boat to our accommodation in the Tambopata jungle. After settling in, we will visit the Cocococha Lagoon for birdwatching and an observation tower 42 meters high to spot monkeys and toucans before returning to the lodge for dinner.
Day 2
At dawn, we will visit the parrot clay lick of La Cachuela and return for breakfast. Around 10:30 am, we will hike around the ecolodge to observe native birds like tinamous and trumpet birds. After lunch, we will search for exotic birds along the Tambopata River and see nocturnal species in the evening before returning to the lodge.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will move to another lodge in Tambopata. You will have free time or can participate in guided activities. In the afternoon, we will hike for about two hours in the La Torre area before returning for dinner and a nocturnal bird search.
Day 4
We will leave early to go by boat to El Chuncho, one of the largest colpas in Tambopata, spending the day observing native birds.
Day 5
At 5 am, we will visit a macaw clay lick in El Chuncho for photography opportunities before returning to the lodge for lunch and a free afternoon.
Day 6
After breakfast, we will transport you to Puerto Maldonado airport with adequate time for your flight.

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation in an ecolodge in Tambopata, with full board covering all meals.
