Tangier to Marrakech 7-Day Trip + Merzouga Desert Visit

Embark on an unforgettable 7-day trip from Tangier to Marrakech. Visit Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes, Fez, and the dunes in the desert of Merzouga.

Tour Details

Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

We'll pick you up from Tangier Airport or your hotel and head to Chefchaouen. You will have free time to explore or join a guided tour. Overnight in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez

After breakfast, we’ll travel to Volubilis for 1 hour and 30 minutes to admire the archaeological ruins. Then, in Meknes, you will have two hours to explore sites like the Bab El-Mansour gateway. We will then continue to Fez, where we will stay in a riad.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Fez, including the Royal Palace and the Mellah. You will explore the Medina of Fez after which you will have free time to discover more and try the local cuisine. Return to your accommodation.

Day 4: Fez - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

We’ll travel south to Ifrane and through the Atlas Mountains, stopping in Midelt for lunch. Arrive in the Merzouga Desert for a camel ride to the desert camp and spend a night with traditional Berber music and dinner.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert

You can enjoy a sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast. Explore the desert via camel or foot and visit a nomadic village. Option to taste traditional Berber pizza. Return to the camp for another night under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Todgha Gorge - Dades Valley

After breakfast, travel to Todgha Gorge, have lunch, and explore. Proceed to Dades Valley, known for its scenery, and spend the night in accommodation.

Day 7: Dades Valley - Marrakech

Travel to Ouarzazate and optionally visit Aït Benhaddou. Drive through Tizi n'Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech and drop off at your hotel or airport.

The tour includes a driver, with guides in Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, and the Merzouga desert.

Schedules & Flights

For the outbound flight to Tangier, the pickup is at 10 am, and arrivals should be before 8 am. Booking a hotel in Tangier the night before is recommended. On the last day, arrive in Marrakech around 12 pm. Flights should not be booked before 3 pm.
