On this day trip to the Aeolian Archipelago, we'll explore the beautiful Sicilian islands of Stromboli and Panarea, including the active Mount Stromboli volcano.
Explore the Aeolian Archipelago
At the indicated time, we'll meet at via Luigi Pirandello to begin this trip to Stromboli and Panarea. We will take a minibus to the port of Milazzo, which will take about 1.5 hours.
At the port, we will board a boat and head north toward the archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The first stop will be Panarea, the second smallest island of the Aeolian Islands. We will stroll around its main village, viewing its white houses and the area's charm.
You will have 2 hours of free time to enjoy the beach and eat at a local restaurant if desired.
Next, we will travel to Stromboli, known for its active volcano. Here, you will have another 2 hours to explore at your leisure. Highlights include the church of San Vincenzo Ferreri and black sand beaches.
In the afternoon, we will return to the boat to admire the lava from Mount Stromboli.
After approximately 12 hours, we will conclude the trip and return to the starting point.
