Travel to Etna and discover one of the most famous volcanoes in Europe. Explore remnants of its eruptions and get to know the city of Taormina all on the same tour!
Etna & Taormina Tour
The tour begins at 9:30 am at Porta Catania in Taormina. We will travel inland to the slopes of Etna, approximately one hour away.
Our first stop is the Sapienza Refuge, where we will discuss the recent activity of the 3000-meter high volcano and review significant eruptions, particularly the event in 1892.
Afterward, we will return to Taormina for a guided city tour. Along Corso Umberto, we will visit the Duomo of Taormina located in a medieval square.
We will also explore key Roman sites, including the Greco-Roman theater of Taormina, and enjoy views of Mount Etna, a notable image of Sicily.
The tour concludes back at the starting point around 3:30 pm.
