Travel to Etna and discover one of the most famous volcanoes in Europe. Explore remnants of its eruptions and get to know the city of Taormina all on the same tour!

Etna & Taormina Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet in front of Porta Catania in Taormina and head towards the slopes of Etna, about an hour away.

Our first stop will be the Sapienza Refuge, where we will learn about the recent activities of the 3000-meter high volcano. Next, we will go on a walking tour to discuss notable eruptions, focusing on the significant event of 1892.

Afterward, we will return to Taormina for a guided tour. We will walk along Corso Umberto and visit the Duomo of Taormina located in a medieval square.

We will also explore the Greco-Roman theater of Taormina, and while learning about the city's history, enjoy views of Mount Etna—a renowned image of Sicily.

The tour will conclude at the starting point around 3:30 pm.
