Travel to Etna and discover one of the most famous volcanoes in Europe. Explore remnants of its eruptions and get to know the city of Taormina all on the same tour!

Etna & Taormina Tour

At 9:30 am, we will meet in front of Porta Catania in Taormina and head towards the slopes of Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, approximately one hour away.

The first stop will be the Sapienza Refuge to learn about recent volcanic activity at the 3000-meter high volcano. A walking tour will follow, discussing notable eruptions, particularly the event in 1892.

Next, we will return to Taormina for a guided tour. We will walk along Corso Umberto and visit the Duomo of Taormina in a medieval square.

We will also explore significant Roman remains, including the Greco-Roman theater of Taormina. Throughout the tour, you will enjoy views of Mount Etna, a prominent feature of Sicily.

The tour will conclude at the starting point around 3:30 pm.
