Travel to Etna and discover one of the most famous volcanoes in Europe. Explore remnants of its eruptions and get to know the city of Taormina all on the same tour!

Etna & Taormina Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet in front of Porta Catania in Taormina and head inland towards the slopes of Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, located about an hour away.

Our first stop is the Sapienza Refuge, where we will learn about recent volcanic activity at the 3000-meter high volcano. Following this, we will go on a walking tour focusing on the strongest eruptions throughout the years, particularly the significant event in 1892.

Next, we will return to Taormina, where we will embark on a guided tour of the city. This will include a walk along Corso Umberto and a visit to the Duomo of Taormina, located in a medieval square.

We will also explore important Roman remains, including the Greco-Roman theater of Taormina, while enjoying views of Mount Etna, one of Sicily's most famous landmarks.

The tour concludes at approximately 3:30 pm at the starting point.
