Venture into the jungles in the mountains and discover the Alto Mayo Valley on our Rioja & Moyobamba Day Trip. We'll see numerous orchid species and visit the source of the Tioyacu River on this activity.

Rioja & Moyobamba Day Trip

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off to Rioja and Moyobamba. During the journey, we'll view the Alto Mayo Valley's landscapes.

Upon arrival in Moyobamba, we'll visit the Orchidarium to admire various flowers. Next, we'll travel to Rioja, situated about 40 minutes away.

In Rioja, we will visit the source of the Tioyacu River. We will spend 2 hours in this area, and you will have free time for swimming. Remember to take a picture on the wooden bridge!

Afterward, we will return to Moyobamba for lunch, which includes a main course and a drink. After eating, we will proceed to the hot springs of San Mateo, where you will have around 1 hour to enjoy the waters known for their healing properties.

The final stop will be at a coffee factory in Moyobamba to learn about coffee production and to taste a cup of Peruvian coffee.

Our day trip will conclude with your return to the hotel, approximately 12 hours after the start of the activity.
