Venture into the jungles in the mountains and discover the Alto Mayo Valley on our Rioja & Moyobamba Day Trip. We'll see numerous orchid species and visit the source of the Tioyacu River on this activity.

Rioja & Moyobamba Day Trip

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off to Rioja and Moyobamba. During the journey, we'll look out at views of the Alto Mayo Valley's lush green landscapes.

When we get to Moyobamba, we'll visit the Orchidarium and admire the flowers there. We'll then travel to Rioja, which is about 40 minutes away.

In Rioja, we'll visit the source of the Tioyacu River. We'll spend 2 hours walking around this area, and you’ll have some free time to go swimming. A charming wooden bridge offers a photo opportunity.

We'll return to Moyobamba for lunch, which includes a main course and a drink. After eating, we'll head to the hot springs of San Mateo, where you’ll have around 1 hour of free time to relax in the water known for its healing properties.

Our final stop will be at a coffee factory in Moyobamba, where you can learn about coffee production and taste delicious Peruvian coffee.

Our day trip will conclude with a drop-off back at your hotel 12 hours after the start of the activity.
