Adventurers of all ages, get ready to explore the tropical wilderness of the Nicoya Gulf on a crocodile safari. You'll take a leisurely boat ride on the Tárcoles River while admiring the lush scenery around you.
Tárcoles River Crocodile Safari
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up next to the Tárcoles River and set off on a safari to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. This area of Tárcoles is home to one of the world's largest populations of these semiaquatic reptiles.
Once we've introduced ourselves, we'll board a boat that will take us downstream to get our safari started. Prepare to see American crocodiles that are up to 16 feet (5 meters) long.
During our safari, we will venture deep into the jungle and discover how the crocodiles and other wild animals thrive around the Tárcoles River. This area also hosts numerous bird species and an incredible mangrove ecosystem.
As we cruise through the Guacalillo Estuary, you'll see four different species of trees. Additionally, our safari will bring us close to more than 50 types of birds, iguanas, and Jesus Christ lizards.
At the end of your jungle crocodile safari, you'll be taken back to the meeting point 2 hours after pick-up.
