Inca Trail of Tajzara Trekking Tour

At 6 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel to head to Tarija's central valley, crossing it to reach the Cordillera de Sama Biological Reserve. During the drive, we'll admire the landscapes of the Sama mountain range and the Bolivian highlands, passing through picturesque villages and spotting the Andean fauna of the plateau.

Upon arrival, we'll start our trek along the historic Inca Trail connecting Tarija's central valley with the high plateau of Tajzara, situated at 12,139 ft (3,700 meters) above sea level. We'll cover approximately 15.5 miles (25 km) on steep trails. Halfway, we will pause for a picnic lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, and water.

After lunch, we'll continue our hike. At the end of the trail, a bus will be waiting to return us to Tarija, arriving back at the pickup point between 2 and 3 pm.

Pickup

The tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Tarija. If your accommodation is outside this area, you must go to the meeting point located on Bolivar street.
