At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin a tour of Tarijá's emblematic sites and its ancient civilization.

We start with a visit to Luis de Fuentes square, detailing 16th century Tarija. Established by captain Luis de Fuentes y Vargas, this location served as a defense point against the chiriguano indigenous people. The area's history predates this, with indigenous tribes such as the Moyos Moyos, JuJuyes, and the Juríes inhabiting the land during the pre-Incan era.

Next, we'll walk to the Cathedral of San Bernado, founded by Jesuits, followed by Casa Dorada, an art nouveau building housing Tarija's Casa de la Cultura. We will then visit the church of San Francisco, founded in 1606 and one of the oldest monuments in the city, which contains a library of over 1500 historically significant books.

Our final destination is the Paleontological Museum of Tarija, showcasing dinosaur, mammal, sloth, and armadillo fossils, including a large mammoth!

After 4 to 5 hours of touring, you'll be returned to your Tarija hotel.
