Chacamarca Sanctuary, Lake Junin & Ondores Tour

Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet in Plaza de Armas in Tarma to start a tour around the main sights in the Junín province.
First, we'll head north to Chacamarca Historic Sanctuary, with a stop at the Camino Inca viewpoint to see the extensive fields of flowers. After approximately one hour of travel, we will arrive and learn about the Battle of Junín and its importance in Peru's independence. We will explore the origin of the monument honoring the heroes fallen in battle and visit the Chacamarca Historic Sanctuary museum.
Next, we'll travel to the small town of Junín to visit its Plaza de Armas, featuring the monument of General Simón Bolívar. Following this, we will head to Ondores for a guided tour of its points of interest. The highlight will be Ondores' colonial Church, known for its altarpieces, stone tower, and bell tower.
We will then proceed to Lake Junín and visit San Pedro de Pari, where we’ll see the colonial Church of Pari, offering stunning views, and learn about its structure. Additional attractions include la Cabeza del Inca, La Momia, San Jerónimo, and Tres Reyes Magos.
We will conclude our tour and return to Tarma after seven hours.
