Description

At the indicated time, we will meet in Plaza de Armas in Tarma and start a tour around the main sights in Junín province.

First, we will head north to Chacamarca Historic Sanctuary. Before arriving, we will stop at the Camino Inca viewpoint to admire fields of flowers. After a one-hour drive, we will reach our destination to learn about the Battle of Junín and its significance in Peru's independence.

We will discover the origin of the monument erected in honor of the heroes fallen in battle and visit the Chacamarca Historic Sanctuary museum.

Next, we will visit the small town of Junín and its Plaza de Armas with the monument of General Simón Bolívar. Our next stop will be the town of Ondores, where we will have a guided tour of its sights.

The highlight will be Ondores' colonial Church, a colonial jewel with valuable altarpieces, stone tower, and bell tower. We will then visit Lake Junín, one of Peru's largest lakes, and proceed to San Pedro de Pari.

There, we will explore the colonial Church of Pari on the lake's shores and learn about its structure and design. We will also visit other attractions in San Pedro de Pari, like la Cabeza del Inca, La Momia, San Jerónimo, and Tres Reyes Magos.

Finally, we will return to Tarma and finish our tour after seven hours.
