Description

We'll meet at Plaza de Armas de Tarma at the indicated time for a journey to explore the Chanchamayo Valley's nature.

We'll cross the towns of Acobamba and Palca, witnessing the changing landscape of the Chanchamayo Valley, known for its diverse orchids and butterflies. This valley serves as the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon.

Upon arrival, we'll hike through the jungle to visit key attractions, including the El Cabello del Angel waterfalls and Ducha del Diablo (Devil's Shower). Afterward, we'll cross the Túnel de la Virgen to reach San Ramón, located between the Tarma and Tulumayo rivers.

Next, we will visit El Tirol waterfall for photography and further exploration of the wild flora and fauna. Then, we will travel to La Merced, a significant town in the valley.

We'll enjoy a panoramic view of the Indio Dormido (Sleeping Indian) and cross the Reither Bridge into the city, where you will have an hour of free time for lunch in La Merced. Following this, we'll visit an Asháninka native community to learn about their customs.

The tour concludes with a visit to a coffee processor, enhancing your understanding of this valuable product. We'll return to the starting point in Tarma after a 10-hour tour.
