Venture into the Chanchamayo Valley on this excursion from Tarma. Imposing waterfalls, the village of La Merced, and a visit to an Ashaninka community await.
Description
We'll meet at Plaza de Armas de Tarma at the indicated time to begin a journey to explore the nature of the Chanchamayo Valley.
First, we'll cross the small towns of Acobamba and Palca. The landscape changes through the Chanchamayo Valley, home to numerous species of orchids and butterflies.
Upon arrival, we'll embark on a hike through the jungle to visit attractions like the El Cabello del Angel waterfalls and the Ducha del Diablo (Devil's Shower). We'll cross the Túnel de la Virgen and reach San Ramón.
The next stop will be at El Tirol waterfall. From there, we'll head to La Merced, another important town in the Chanchamayo Valley.
We'll enjoy the panoramic view of the Indio Dormido and cross the Reither Bridge into the city, where you'll have an hour of free time for a meal. Afterwards, we'll visit an Asháninka native community to learn about their ancestral customs.
Lastly, we'll see a coffee processor to learn about this product, concluding the excursion!
We will finish the tour by arriving at the starting point in Tarma after a 10-hour tour.
