Join us on this trip to Pozuzo, a town founded by German and Austrian settlers in the Peruvian jungle, offering a blend of cultures from two continents.

What's in store:

Our adventure begins as we gather at Tarma's Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time, starting our excursion to Pozuzo—a Peruvian village with a distinct German influence.

We'll travel in a minibus through the Yanagacha Chemillen National Park, immersing ourselves in the flora and fauna of the Oxapampa jungle. Along the way, we will see the impressive Rayantambo and Yulitunki waterfalls.

Upon our arrival in Pozuzo, a guided tour will take us through the town, highlighting its unique character. Founded in the mid-19th century by German and Austrian settlers, Pozuzo has a European feel, evident in its architecture and iconic gable roofs.

As we stroll through Pozuzo, we'll see store names reminiscent of Germany or Austria. Our exploration includes visits to the Settlers' Cemetery, the Schaferer Museum, and a replica of the Norton Ship.

You will have an hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will reconvene and start our return journey to Tarma.

The excursion will conclude after approximately 11 hours of adventure.
