Day Trip to Villa Rica & the Oconal Lagoon

Join us for a day trip to Villa Rica and the El Oconal Lagoon, the coffee capital of the Pasco region, featuring a boat ride.

What's in store:

The adventure begins at Tarma's Plaza de Armas, followed by our journey to Villa Rica and the El Oconal Lagoon.

We will traverse the province of Oxapampa, home to three cultures: the Campas, the Amueshas, and the Cashibos. Insights into their rich heritage will be shared throughout the trip.

Our first stop is Villa Rica, a significant coffee capital in Peru. A guided tour of Villa Rica includes visits to landmarks such as the wooden chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Plaza de Armas.

Before leaving Villa Rica, we will visit a local coffee farm to learn about Peru's coffee production, from cultivation to processing.

Next, we'll head to the El Oconal Lagoon, where we can enjoy the stunning landscapes and biodiversity. A traditional boat ride will be part of this experience.

We will also enjoy a relaxing ichthyotherapy session before heading back to Tarma, where we'll visit the El León waterfall.

After approximately 14 hours, we will conclude our excursion back at the starting point.
