At the time indicated, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas in Tarma and start our tour to Huánuco and Kotosh.
We'll head north towards Huánuco, arriving after approximately five hours, with a stop in a cafe for breakfast at your leisure.
Following breakfast, we'll begin a guided tour around Huánuco, exploring the Plaza de Armas, where the modern Huánuco cathedral is located, and the resting place of “el Señor de Burgos,” the city's patron saint. Next, we'll visit the Daniel Alomía Robles Mausoleum, then cross the Calicanto bridge to see the San Cristóbal colonial Church and the San Francisco Church.
Next, we'll head to the archaeological site of Kotosh, home to one of the oldest temples in Peru, visiting the ruins and the Temple of Crossed Hands.
We'll then visit Pillco Mozo, where we'll explain the legend of this hill, and you will have an hour of free time to eat in local restaurants.
After lunch, we'll visit the Casa de la Perricholi, the home of a noted local actress, followed by Hacienda Cachigaga, to learn about sugar cane drinks, and we will also visit Casa Hacienda de Andabamba and Casa de los Artesanos.
