On this day trip to Oxapamapa, we'll explore the fusion of Andean and European cultures while visiting the city and the Chanchamayo Valley.
Description
At the specified time, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas de Tarma and travel north to Oxapampa, enjoying the landscapes of the Chanchamayo Valley along the way.
We will make a stop in La Merced, located in the province of Chanchamayo, to learn about the indigenous peoples of this area in the central Peruvian jungle. Next, we will cross the Kimiri suspension bridge and proceed to the village of San Luis de Shuaro.
After a short break, we will visit several viewpoints for photographs before continuing to Oxapampa, a town founded by Austrian and German immigrants in the 19th century.
We will take a guided tour of Oxapampa, including a stop at the Parish of Santa Rosa and a stroll through the Miraflores and Llamaquizu neighborhoods, known for their typical Colonist's Walk houses.
After the guided tour, we will visit the Huarapo dairy cooperative to learn about cattle farming. The tour concludes with a meal at a nearby restaurant.
This 8-hour adventure wraps up with our return to Tarma's Plaza de Armas, ensuring memorable experiences from the journey.
