Gather at the Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time to initiate our adventure, which will take us through the essential landmarks of Tarma and Huaricolca.
Our first destination will be the Cathedral of Tarma, where we will pause to appreciate its striking façade located in the bustling Plaza de Armas. Following this, our journey continues to the viewpoint known as Lomo de Elefante, positioned between Tarma and Huaricolca, offering a spectacular view of the breathtaking natural scenery that envelops the area.
Next, we will visit the Museum of Huaricolca, a prime location to explore the deep historical roots of the Junín province. Once we've completed our time at the museum, we will also navigate to the Mamahuari Cave, rich in local lore and intrigue.
Continuing our expedition, we will encounter the Stone Guardians and the ancient cave paintings of Pintishmachay, which are among the oldest expressions of art in Peru. We will then make our way to the Chapel of San Juan Pata, explore the historic Colcas de Huaricolca, which served as storehouses, and complete our journey with a visit to the Acllana Huarmihuasi.
