Description
Meet us at Plaza de Armas in Tarma for our tour through the Valley of Flowers. We will begin with a visit to a natural balcony, providing a panoramic view of the flower crops of Chuchopampa. This area is known for its colorful blooms, such as wallflowers, pompons, carnations, lilies, and gladiolas.
Our next stop is the Bombón Plateau, significant for its ecological importance and ideal for observing vicuñas. We will pass through the high plateau of central Peru, making a stop at the pre-Inca salt ponds of Cachipozo.
Following this, we arrive at San Pedro de las Cajas, known for its skilled textile artisans. We will explore the tapestries crafted here, representing Taramanian culture. Afterward, we'll head to the Huagapo Cave, the deepest cave in South America, which features ancient cave paintings.
You will have 1 hour of free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before we journey through Acobamba and return to Tarma, concluding our eight-hour excursion.
