Modernist Tarragona Guided Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Balcony of the Mediterranean, in the heart of Tarragona to begin our tour of its most important modernist buildings.

Accompanied by a guide, we'll discover the most emblematic buildings of Modernism, an artistic movement that emerged in the late 19th century and transformed the streets of the center of Tarragona.

The route through modernist Tarragona will take us through places like the Metropol Theatre, Casa Ximenis, and the Convent of the Teresian Order. The architect Josep Maria Pujol de Barberà is notable for his numerous modernist works in the city. Walking along the Rambla Nova, we will see the Rectorate of Rovira i Virgili University and the Ripoll House.

We'll also visit the municipal market of Pujol de Barberà and, after two hours of walking, we'll finish the tour by visiting the Mausoleum of King Jaume I, designed by architect Lluis Domenech i Montaner.
