Modernist Tarragona Guided Tour

We will meet at the Balcony of the Mediterranean to start our tour of Tarragona's significant modernist buildings.

With the guidance of an expert, we will explore the most emblematic buildings of Modernism, an artistic movement that emerged in the late 19th century and reshaped Tarragona's central streets.

The route includes visits to the Metropol Theatre, Casa Ximenis, and the Convent of the Teresian Order. The architect Josep Maria Pujol de Barberà has the most modernist works in the city. Walking along the Rambla Nova, we will see his notable buildings, including the Rectorate of Rovira i Virgili University and the Ripoll House.

Additionally, we will visit the municipal market of Pujol de Barberà. After two hours of exploration, the tour will conclude at the Mausoleum of King Jaume I, designed by architect Lluis Domenech i Montaner.
