Activity Details
Day 1
Your day begins with a 7 am pickup from your hotel in Tashkent, proceeding to the train station for a train to Margilan. This city is known for its cultural treasures, including the Said Akhmad-Khoja Madrasah.
Next is a visit to the Yodgorlik silk factory, showcasing traditional silk-making in the Fergana Valley. If your visit is on a Thursday or Sunday, you will also explore the Kumtepa Bazaar, the largest market in the region.
After a day of exploration, enjoy lunch in the town of Fergana, followed by an overnight stay in the area.
Day 2
The second day starts with breakfast, followed by a visit to Rishtan to see a pottery workshop and local artisans at work.
Next, visit the village of Ok Yer to meet a Kyrgyz family that produces wool carpets.
Continue to Kokand, the heart of Fergana, where you will explore the Khudovar-Khan palace, the Jami Mosque, and the Norbut-biv Madrasah, significant sites in Uzbekistan's trade history.
Concluding the tour, take a scenic five-hour train ride back to Tashkent, arriving at your hotel by 9:30 pm.
