At the arranged time, pickup will be from your hotel in Tashkent, followed by transfer to the train station. You will travel by train to Samarkand independently.
Upon arrival, you will meet your guide at the station for a tour of Samarkand. The first stop is the mausoleum of Gur Emir, where the remains of Tamerlane are located. After learning about its history, we will proceed to Registan Square, from the Timurid dynasty.
At Registan, we will visit the Sher-Dor Madrasa, a World Heritage Site, and the Ulugbek Madrasa, along with the Tillya Kori Madrasa.
The next destination is the Bibi Khanym Mosque, formerly one of the largest mosques in the Islamic world. Following this, we will visit the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, a complex of mausoleums from the 14th and 15th centuries.
After the necropolis, a break for a local Uzbek lunch will be provided. Post-lunch, we will head to Siyob Bazaar, where you will have about an hour for shopping.
Finally, you will return to Samarkand railway station for your trip back to Tashkent. We will meet you at the station and transport you back to your hotel, approximately 12 to 14 hours after the initial pickup.
