Benagil Caves Hike

Do you know the most famous caves in the Algarve? On this hike of the Benagil Caves, we'll discover this unique landmark that has turned into a symbol of nature in the south of Portugal.

Hike Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from the meeting point you choose and travel along the A-22, a main road in the Algarve. Enjoy the landscapes of this part of southern Portugal .

After a 1-hour drive, we'll reach the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, recognized as one of the best routes in Europe. We'll begin our exciting hike around the Benagil caves' surroundings.

This 1.5-kilometre (0.93 miles) route takes 1.5 hours, offering extraordinary scenic views of the Benagil caves. We'll explain how these sea caves were formed and what makes them ochre-coloured.

The hike ends at Praia da Marinha, where you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to snorkel if the weather permits, and eat any food you brought.

Finally, we'll drive back, stopping briefly in Porches for a photo in front of the Capela da Nossa Senhora da Rocha. We will return to the original meeting points, concluding the tour after 5 hours and 45 minutes.
