Benagil Caves Hike

Are you curious about the most renowned caves in the Algarve? Join us on this hiking adventure to explore the Benagil Caves, a remarkable natural wonder that has become a celebrated emblem of the southern region of Portugal.

Hiking Overview

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from the designated meeting point you selected. From there, we will proceed via the A-22, which is a key route through the Algarve. Prepare to be captivated by the stunning landscapes unfolding in this area of southern Portugal.

After approximately one hour of travel, we will arrive at the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail. Recognized by European Best Destinations as one of the premier hiking routes in Europe, we will set off on an exhilarating hike around the Benagil cave area.

This 1.5-kilometre (0.93 miles) path, which will last around 1.5 hours, offers breathtaking panoramas of the Benagil caves. Ever wondered how these stunning sea caves came to be? What gives them their unique ochre hue? Why are they a major attraction? Our team will be ready to answer all your inquiries!

We will conclude our hiking experience at Praia da Marinha. Here, near the caves, you'll have 1.5 hours of leisure time to snorkel if the conditions are favorable. You will also have the opportunity to recharge and enjoy a snack from your packed lunch.

To wrap up the experience, we will head back, making a quick stop in Porches where you can capture a final picture by the Capela da Nossa Senhora da Rocha.

Eventually, we will return to the initial meeting points, where we will conclude our journey together after enjoying a total of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
