Tavira Tourist Train

The Tavira tourist train offers a 50-minute tour of significant landmarks and attractions in Tavira. The tour begins at Rua Jaques Pessoa, travels to the fishing port for views of the Algarve coast and the city's market. Next, the train visits the Vila Galé Hotel, then continues to the Gilão River, known for bird watching.

The tour includes a view of the salt pans of Tavira. The next stop is the city's old town, where you can see monuments including the Islamic Museum, Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, Hermitage of Sao Roque, and Tavira Castle, a medieval building with a garden.

The train will also pass by the Santa Maria do Castelo church, Pousada do Convento da Graça, and Santiago Bridge before returning to the starting point.
