Tavira Tourist Train

The Tavira tourist train will take you on a 50-minute tour of the most important landmarks and attractions in this city.

The train ride starts at Rua Jaques Pessoa. The tour includes the fishing port with views of the Algarve coast and a visit to the city's market. The next stop is at the Vila Galé Hotel, followed by the Gilão River, suitable for bird watching. The tour also includes the salt pans of Tavira, showcasing its unique landscape. After that, we head to the city's old town to visit monuments such as the Islamic Museum, Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, Hermitage of Sao Roque, and Tavira Castle, situated in a garden.
