Tavira Tourist Train

The Tavira tourist train will take you on a 50-minute tour of the most important landmarks and attractions in this Portuguese city.

Our train ride starts at Rua Jaques Pessoa. We'll then continue to the fishing port to enjoy views of the Algarve coast and visit the city's market. The next stop will be at the Vila Galé Hotel, followed by a ride to Gilão River, ideal for bird watching.

If you haven't visited the salt pans of Tavira, we will see this unique landscape from the train. Afterwards, we'll reach the city's old town to visit several monuments, including the Islamic Museum, the Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, the Hermitage of Sao Roque, and the famous Tavira Castle, a medieval building surrounded by a garden.

We will continue the tour to see more important spots in the city, such as the Santa Maria do Castelo church, the Pousada do Convento da Graça, and the Santiago Bridge.

Finally, we will finish the train tour by returning to the starting point.
