Taxco Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time at Benito Juarez street in Taxco to start this guided tour of the historic center. Throughout the tour, we'll discover the attractions of this Pueblo Mágico.

Our first stop will be at the ex-convent of San Bernardino de Siena, built with adobe at the end of the 16th century and renovated in 1804 in the neoclassical style.

Next, we'll see the statues of penitents at the back of the ex-convent, commemorating Taxco's Holy Week.

We'll then walk to Plaza Borda (Zócalo), named for "place where they play ball." In front of Casa Borda, a cultural center commissioned by José de la Borda in 1759, we'll learn more about the area.

Our route will also include the exterior of the Casa Humboldt, the Viceroyalty Art Museum, and the Casa Figueroa (or Casa de las Lágrimas), highlighting its tragic history.

Before concluding our tour, we'll visit the Church of Santa Prisca and San Sebastian, an emblem of the city and one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Mexico.

Finally, we will say our goodbyes 2 hours later in front of the silver tianguis, an open-air market with various silver jewelry.
