Join us on our catamaran trip around La Palma from Tazacorte and admire the beauty of the coastline while looking out for dolphins and whales. We will also see solidified lava from the Cumbre Vieja volcano.
La Palma Dolphin & Whale Watching on a Glass-Bottom Boat
At the designated time, we'll meet at the port of Tazacorte and board the Fancy II catamaran, which features underwater windows to explore the seabed. We will set sail towards the northeastern part of Isla Bonita to observe underwater life through the glass floor, expecting to see rays, sharks, colorful fish, black corals, and octopi.
Next, we will sail through the Atlantic to spot dolphins and whales in their natural habitats. With some luck, we may encounter dolphins, a pod of pilot whales, and see whales exhaling air from their blowholes.
Before returning to shore, we will view the solidified lava flows from the Cumbre Vieja volcano's most recent eruption in 2021, which lasted 3 months. We will reflect on the eruption's impact on the island during the trip.
The catamaran trip will conclude after a total of 2.5 hours as we return to the port of Tazacorte.
