Tour Options
When reserving your buggy adventure in Guatiza and Mala, you can choose between a 2-hour or 3-hour tour. In either case, we will commence our experience at Calle Goleta and proceed to the buggy parking area. Are you ready to embark on this thrilling escapade?
2-hour tour
We will dive into the experience by hopping onto our buggies and starting our journey along the dirt paths of Guatiza. This picturesque village enjoyed a significant economic rise during the 19th century due to the successful harvesting of red cochineal. Throughout the tour, you will learn about the fascinating applications of this unique insect!
Continuing our adventure, we'll have the chance to observe Guatiza's quarries, which showcase another aspect of the area’s history. Our exploration will then take us to the renowned Los Cocoteros salt mines, operational since 1940. Before concluding our tour, we’ll pause in the village of Mala to appreciate the cacti, providing insight into the region's rich agricultural heritage.
After an exhilarating 2-hour excursion, we'll return to the meeting point to conclude our buggy adventure.
3-hour tour
If you're seeking a more detailed experience, consider the 3-hour buggy tour. This option not only encompasses the same route as the shorter tour but also includes a visit to the spectacular Mala dam. Situated in the Palomo Valley, this remarkable structure provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Estanque ravine. Get ready to be enchanted by the stunning landscapes!
