Want to discover one of the most famous natural monuments of Gran Canaria? This Roque Nublo hiking tour will allow you to explore this volcanic formation characteristic of the island. You'll walk among Canary pine trees and uncover the many enigmas surrounding this great rock.

Roque Nublo Hiking Tour

At 10 am, we'll meet at the Roque Nublo parking lot, located half an hour's drive from the center of Tejeda. We'll start a 6 km hiking tour to explore the mountains of central Gran Canaria and discover one of the main icons of the island.

We will begin walking uphill while enjoying the silence of nature and the 360-degree views of the steep peaks of Gran Canaria. We will avoid the most touristy trails and explore less-known areas filled with beauty as we reach one of the highest points of the island at 1,813 meters.

During the Roque Nublo hike, we'll traverse Canary pine forests until we reach the viewpoint of this volcanic rock, protected as a Biosphere Reserve. An explanation of how this natural landmark was formed will be provided, along with its historical significance as a place of worship for the indigenous people of Gran Canaria. We will also be able to see the rocks of El Fraile and La Rana.

After the hike, we will part ways at 2 pm at the starting point.
