Travel back more than 2000 years and explore one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World on this 1 or 2-day trip to Petra. You can opt for a return to Tel Aviv on the same day or choose to spend the night at this archaeological site.

Description

Day 1: Tel Aviv - Petra

We will collect you from the Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv to begin the excursion to Petra. The journey between Israel and Jordan will take around 5 hours. We will traverse the Siq Gorge and the ancient Nabataean capital, whose origin dates back around 2300 years.

During the Petra tour, we will learn about the Nabataeans and their relationships with the Romans. We will visit iconic structures such as the Petra Treasury, the theatre, the Royal Tomb, and the Djinn Blocks. After, we will dine at a local restaurant and then spend the night at a nearby hotel in Wadi Musa.

Day 2: Petra - Tel Aviv

On the second day, after breakfast, you will have the day to explore Petra on your own. You may visit the Petra Monastery, the columned street, and the Great Temple. At around 4:30 pm, we will return to Israel, arriving in Tel Aviv close to midnight.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night of accommodation with breakfast at either the 3-star Venus Hotel Petra or the 4-star Sella Hotel Petra, based on preference. Accommodations include double beds in Wadi Musa. If availability permits, similar category hotels will be used.

1-Day Trip to Petra

If you prefer a shorter duration, you can book the 1-day trip to Petra, which is more intense but returns you to Tel Aviv between midnight and 1 am. Admission, a guide, and lunch are included.
