1 or 2-Day Trip to Petra

On this 1 or 2-day trip to Petra by plane, we’ll travel from Israel to Jordan and discover the secret city of the Nabataeans.

Description

1-Day Trip

You will board a 50-minute flight from Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport to Ramon International Airport. After landing, we will drive east to Jordan.

Following a two-and-a-half-hour desert drive, we will arrive at Petra. A guided tour will cover the history of this ancient city, rediscovered by Jean Louis Burckhardt in the 19th century, including visits to the royal tombs and the iconic Treasury.

After the tour, enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant featuring Arab specialties. We will then return to Ramon Airport for your flight back to Ben Gurion Airport, arriving in Tel Aviv approximately 21 hours after departure.

2-Day Trip

Day 1

On the first day, we’ll follow the same itinerary as the 1-day tour. After lunch, you'll check in at your accommodation in Petra and have dinner at your leisure.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will revisit the archaeological site to explore the Petra Monastery, followed by visits to the Great Temple of Petra and the Qasr Al Bint Temple. We will conclude with a visit to the Petra Museum before lunch at a local restaurant.

Following lunch, we’ll transfer you to Ramon Airport for your return flight to Ben Gurion Airport, arriving around 9 pm.

Visa and passport

Traveling to Petra requires a valid passport to enter Jordan and a visa fee of 140 USD per person at the Jordanian-Israeli border.
