Itinerary
Day 1: Tel Aviv - Aqaba - Wadi Rum
Depart from Ben Gurion Airport for a one-hour flight to Ramon International Airport, bypassing the six-hour road journey. Upon landing, board a bus across the border to Aqaba for a stroll through narrow streets leading to an Ottoman fortress with views of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
After free time for lunch, explore the Wadi Rum desert in a 4x4, known as the Valley of the Moon and a World Heritage Site. Visit notable formations like the Seven Pillars of Wisdom and the Arch of Um Furth.
End the day at a desert camp, enjoy a sunset, and have dinner before overnighting.
Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra - Tel Aviv
After breakfast, travel by bus from Wadi Rum to Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. A small picnic can be purchased for the journey.
Walk through the Siq Gorge to view the Rose City, guided through its history, temples, and tombs of the Nabataeans, dating back 2300 years. Enjoy two hours of free time and lunch before returning to Eilat for your flight back to Tel Aviv, landing at Ben Gurion Airport at 10 pm.
