- 1 Bewertung
Visit two must-see sites in Jordan on this 2-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum, including flights between Tel Aviv and Eilat to minimize travel time.
Itinerary
Day 1: Tel Aviv - Aqaba - Wadi Rum
At the scheduled time, head to Ben Gurion Airport for a flight from Tel Aviv to Ramon International Airport, reducing a 6-hour road journey to 1 hour. After arrival, a bus will take you to Aqaba, where you'll visit an Ottoman fortress offering views of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
After some free time for lunch, board a 4x4 to explore the Wadi Rum desert, a World Heritage Site also known as the Valley of the Moon. See notable formations such as the Seven Pillars of Wisdom and the Arch of Um Furth. The day ends at a camp for overnight accommodation, with dinner and the opportunity to watch the sunset.
Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra - Tel Aviv
After breakfast, travel by bus to Petra, Jordan's renowned archaeological site. A small picnic for breakfast can be purchased for the hour-and-a-half journey. Upon arrival, walk through the Siq Gorge to see the Rose City and join a guided tour to learn about its history as the capital of the Nabataeans.
You will receive 2 hours of free time in Petra for exploration and lunch before returning to Eilat for the flight back to Tel Aviv, landing at Ben Gurion Airport at 10 pm.
Accommodation
This tour includes 1 night’s accommodation with half-board at Magic Rum Camp. You may choose a standard double room or a superior option that resembles a space tent, with all rooms featuring en-suite bathrooms and wifi. In case of unavailability, an equivalent camp will be arranged.
