Description

We'll meet at the indicated time at the main entrance of the archaeological site of Teotihuacán, in front of the Citadel. There we'll begin a guided tour of the city of the gods.

The beginnings of this city are uncertain, but it had its heyday during the 3rd and 7th centuries A.D. We'll learn about its history while we see its most emblematic monuments, such as the Avenue of the Dead, the Palace of the Jaguars, and the Palace of Quetzalpapalotl. We can climb the Quetzalpapalotl temple to discover its secrets.

Afterwards, we'll stop in front of the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon to explore the enigmatic questions related to these structures. The base of the Pyramid of the Sun is the second-largest pre-Hispanic building in all of Mesoamerica. We will also learn about the goddess of agriculture in the early Toltec culture.

Finally, after a 2.5-3 hour tour of the archaeological site, we'll end the activity back at the meeting point.
