On this kayak tour on the Poti River, participants will explore the surroundings of Teresina and visit its fossil forest.

Kayaking on the Poti River

We will meet at Raul Lopes Avenue at the indicated time to start the kayak tour. Equipment will be distributed, and basic safety instructions provided. Paddling along the Poti River, which spans across the Brazilian states of Piauí and Ceará, we will engage in a 2-hour tour with various stops. One notable stop is the fossil forest of Teresina, a paleontological site containing logs from the Permian period, over 270 million years ago.

At the conclusion, we will return to the starting point and end the tour.

Minimum Number of Participants

The tour requires a minimum of 4 participants; however, if the tour is on a Saturday, it will proceed even if the minimum is not met.
