At the designated hour, our team will collect you from your hotel in Montalegre and commence the journey towards Chaves. Traveling via a comfortable 4x4 or minibus, we will reach our destination in approximately 45 minutes.

Upon our arrival, we will start by exploring the exterior of the medieval castle of Chaves. This impressive fortress, which now hosts a military museum, has borne witness to the historic conflicts between Portugal and Spain.

Next, we will admire the facades of the 17th-century forts of São Francisco and São Neutel, constructed to protect the city from Spanish advancements. Our subsequent stop features the remarkable Roman bridge that stretches over the Tâmega River, originally commissioned by Trajan, the first Hispanic emperor. Its arches have stood the test of time since the Roman era.

Afterwards, we will visit the renowned Estrada Nacional 2 along with its Kilometre 0, before making our way to the famous Roman thermal baths. This site was a pivotal gathering place in ancient society, and it is noteworthy that the thermal waters here are among the warmest in Europe.

After a fulfilling three hours of exploration, we will make our way back to Montalegre, where you will be returned to your hotel.
