Tetouan Free Guided Tour

On this free tour of Tetouan, you'll discover the history of the most Andalusian city in Morocco and tour its Medina, a World Heritage Site.

Tour Details

We will meet at Avenida Cinema at the designated time to start the tour. We will walk through the Medina, visiting Feddan Square and exploring the side streets that feature the Andalusian houses of Tetouan's old nobility. The tour includes an experience of local daily life.

The next stop is the Jarazin, the craftsman neighborhood, where there will be a 15-minute photo opportunity. We will visit a 15th-century leather workshop to observe craftsmanship with hides and leathers, along with exploring bazars.

Continuing, we will explore the side streets until we reach Tarrafin, the 'Street of Gold'. We will cross to Bab Ruah and explore the old Jewish neighborhood of Mellah, delving into its history and culture.

The tour concludes with a return through Ensanche Español, observing the Spanish library, the Cervantes Institute, and the food market. We will also discuss various historical buildings and their stories.

After 2.5 hours, we will conclude the free tour of Tetouan.
