Discover European art from the Upper Paleolithic period in the Prehistoric Park of Teverga, an Asturian museum displaying the continent's most important cave paintings.
Why Visit the Prehistoric Park?
At the Prehistoric Park of Teverga, you'll learn about the cave art that emerged during the Upper Paleolithic in various European caves. The museum features three modern buildings designed by architect Dani Freixes, situated along the Páramo River. Your ticket grants you access to all exhibition halls.
The highlight of the museum is the Cueva de Cuevas, or 'Cave of Caves'. In this underground space, you can view full-scale reproductions of notable European cave paintings, including those from the French cave of Niaux and the Asturian caves of Tito Bustillo and Candamo. The park also features panels that discuss the evolution of human beings and the origins of art.
