Tour Overview

We will gather at the designated time in front of the statue of Eleftherios Venizelos located in Thessaloniki, after which we will set off westward from the city.

After approximately an hour's drive, we will reach the renowned archaeological site of Dion, once a significant settlement in the now-defunct Kingdom of Macedonia and dedicated to Zeus, the chief deity of the Olympians. Here, visitors can admire the remnants of the theater alongside a collection of temples and shrines that have survived the test of time.

Post-exploration, a stop at the Archaeological Museum of Dion will offer you an opportunity to engage with an exceptional assortment of classical sculptures, remarkable artifacts, and stunning mosaics that depict the lifestyle and artistic accomplishments of the ancient community. After uncovering fascinating insights about the art of that era, we will advance our journey deeper into Greece.

Entering the legendary Mount Olympus National Park, celebrated as the mythical abode of the Greek gods, we'll explore the area known for being the highest mountain in Greece at a towering 2,918 meters.

We’ll embark on a gentle hike along well-maintained paths leading to the Agia Kori waterfall, where a refreshing dip in its strikingly clear emerald waters awaits. Along our route, you will hear about mysterious occurrences reported by visitors throughout the ages.

The journey proceeds with a visit to the Olympus National Park Information Center, where an audiovisual exhibition awaits to enrich our understanding of the park's rich ecosystem and its cultural significance. Following this insightful experience, we’ll enjoy lunch at a traditional Greek restaurant at your leisure.

Reenergized, we will then return to our original meeting point in Thessaloniki, concluding our day after approximately 8 hours.
