Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet near the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument in the centre of Old Town Torun. You will explore one of the oldest cities in Poland and learn about its history. This tour includes a walk through a medieval gothic town, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Poland.

Starting in the main square, we'll visit the Gothic Town Hall, which contains a large collection of sculptures, paintings and stained glass. Here, you have the option to climb the tower for a view of Torun and the Vistula River.

Next, we will visit the elaborately decorated Hansa merchants' mansions, various churches such as Holy Spirit’s Church and Saint Mary’s Church, dating back to the 14th and 16th centuries. We will also explore Saint John’s Cathedral, built in the 13th century, which has seen significant Christian celebrations, including the baptism of Nicolaus Copernicus.

We will continue by passing the city’s defensive walls and several towers like Sailor’s Gate or Bridge Gate, finally arriving at the castle ruins of the Teutonic Knights, one of the oldest structures from the 13th century.

After a 3-hour tour, we'll say our goodbyes at the initial meeting point.
