Cross the border and explore the charming and historic country with this Armenia Day Trip from Tiflis. You'll discover the monasteries of Ajtala, Haghoat, and Sanahin.

Armenia Day Trip

We'll meet at the Avlabari metro station in Tbilisi at 8:30 am. From there, we'll head to the border to explore Armenia, one of the first Christian civilizations.

The first stop will be Ajtala Monastery, where you can admire its 13th-century exterior and interior frescoes, representing Byzantine art. You'll also see the caves and copper foundation factories in the area.

Next, we'll visit the Haghpat Monastery, a 10th-century masterpiece of medieval architecture that has withstood various historical challenges.

Around 1:30 pm, we'll stop for lunch at a local family's house, providing an opportunity to sample traditional cuisine.

At 4 pm, we'll continue to Sanahin Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting an additional copper foundation factory along the way. The tour will conclude at the Mikoyan Brothers Museum, showcasing the original MiG 21 aircraft.

The tour will end in Tbilisi at 7:30 pm.
