David Gareja Monastery & Rainbow Mountains Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Traveller's Meeting Point in Tbilisi to start the tour to David Gareja Monastery and the Rainbow Mountains. Our driving route will take us through the Gareja valley until we arrive at the salt lake, where we will begin to explore the Georgian Sahara. Continuing, we will pass through Udabno Village, an intriguing abandoned village in the arid landscape.

Upon reaching the Rainbow Mountains, we will observe the distinct terrain comprised of mineral-rich rocks that display various colors. We will park and explore the area on foot, allowing ample opportunities for photography.

Next, we will visit the David Gareja Monastery, a significant historical site. In addition to touring the religious complex, we will also view the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan, a historically contentious area.

Finally, we will return to Tbilisi, concluding the tour after seven hours of sightseeing.
