At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi and take you through the Caucasian valleys in a jeep. We'll head 100 kilometers (62 miles) southeast of Tbilisi to the Kakheti region to visit the monastery of David Gareja.

The monastery complex, carved into rock, was founded by St. David Gareja, one of the 13 Assyrian monks who arrived in Georgia in the 6th century. It is positioned near the Mount Gareja desert, offering views of the arid landscapes.

During our visit, we will explore the complex, including its defensive walls, towers, and ancient frescoes, while learning about its history. Notably, King Demetrius I was confined here after his abdication in 1154.

Following the monastery visit, we will embark on an 8-kilometer (5 miles) hike through the Rainbow Mountains, experiencing its unique landscapes. On the return journey, we will stop at a traditional village for lunch, where you can taste Georgian mulled wine. After ten hours of sightseeing, we'll return to Tbilisi and drop you off at your hotel.
