Katskhi & Chiatura Private Tour
At the time of your choice, pickup from your hotel in Tbilisi will commence our private tour of the Georgia Caucasus.
Our first stop is the Katshki Pillar, a 40-metre-tall stone monolith overlooking the Karshuna River Valley. This natural column features a medieval church built between the 8th and 10th centuries, which remained unexplored until 1944 due to its challenging location.
The next destination is Chiatura, a town situated between valleys and gorges. Once a critical mining centre for manganese during the USSR era, Chiatura maintains aspects of its Soviet legacy, including a 6000-metre-long cable car that we will ride to view the town.
After learning about the city during the communist period, we will return to Tbilisi and drop you off at your hotel after a ten-hour tour.
