Day Excursion to Mtskheta

After gathering at the designated time, we will depart from Tbilisi and travel northwest in a comfortable minibus toward the Jvari Monastery.

Upon arriving at the sixth-century Orthodox church, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will venture inside to unravel its intriguing background. There, you can delight in breathtaking panoramas that encompass the Historical Monuments of Mtskheta and the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers.

As we proceed with our tour, we will descend into the city of Mtskheta, where a guided exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage site awaits us. Once the heart of Georgia, this town is a favorite among visitors, and you will soon understand why as we visit its key attractions, including the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and the Samtavro Monastery. Following this, you'll be granted half an hour of free time to wander the city on your own.

After our break, we will reconvene and head to a local winery for a taste of Georgian wines - cheers! Concluding our adventure, we will return to Tbilisi.
