Take our boat trip to Martín García Island from Tigre and discover Argentina's natural and historical treasures.
Martín García Island Boat Trip
At 8:30 am, we'll meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre to board a boat at 9 am. The journey lasts two hours across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the historical sites on the island, notable for being the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay. We will pass an old military prison where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945, and visit the Historical Museum, Urquiza Theatre, Stone Quarries, and Chinatown, known for its abandoned houses and vegetation.
We will also explore the House of Rubén Darío. Lunch will be around 1 pm at a restaurant, featuring a barbecue with salad and a drink.
After lunch, you have two and a half hours of free time to explore independently. We will regroup at the dock at 5 pm to board the boat back to Tigre.
The activity concludes at 7:45 pm at the original meeting point.
