Martín García Island Boat Trip
At 8:30 am, we'll meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre to board a boat at 9 am for a two-hour journey across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the historical sites on the island, notable for being the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay. Along the way, we will pass an old military prison, where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945. We will visit the Historical Museum, Urquiza Theatre, Stone Quarries, and Chinatown with its abandoned houses.
We will also stop at the House of Rubén Darío. Around 1 pm, we will have a meal consisting of barbecue, salad, and a drink.
You will have two and a half hours of free time to explore the island further. At 5 pm, we will meet at the dock to board the boat back to Tigre.
The tour concludes at 7:45 pm at the departure point.
