Join us on our day trip to Iruya and explore Tilcara's surroundings. You'll travel through Argentina's colonial past as you stroll through the town's cobblestone streets.

Iruya Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Tilcara at the scheduled time and head to the town of Iruya. The minibus journey will take around three hours.

During the trip, we will learn how residents harvested their own food in terraced fields and utilized water from the mountain slopes. The scenery along the route is notable.

Upon arrival in Iruya, we will take a guided tour of the town to explore its history and significant sites. We will visit the church, walk through the cobbled streets, and go to the central square. Additionally, we will visit a viewpoint to appreciate the town's unique location. This setting offers excellent photo opportunities as the town appears to be hanging from the mountains.

Before returning, you will have 1 hour of free time to explore further and have lunch if desired. Finally, we will drive back and drop you off at your hotel in Tilcara approximately 10 hours after departure.
