Quebrada de Sapagua & Hornaditas Community Day Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel in Tilcara between 8:30 and 9 am for a northbound journey to the Quebrada de Sapagua, a 40-minute drive away.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a 1-hour hike through the mountainous terrain, observing the famous cave paintings. Our guide will explain the significance of these artworks and provide historical context related to the Inca period.
After the hike, we will continue to the Hornaditas Community, where we will learn about the ancient customs and culture of its residents. Activities include visiting their crops, exploring sacred sites, and participating in traditional weaving and cake baking.
A delicious lunch featuring multiple dishes and a drink will allow us to sample local gastronomy while engaging with the families of this North Argentinean village.
The day trip concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Tilcara at 6 pm.
