Discover the customs and beliefs of a traditional village in northern Argentina on our day trip to the Hornaditas Community, combined with a visit to the Quebrada de Sapagua.

Quebrada de Sapagua & Hornaditas Community Day Trip

Pick-up from your hotel in Tilcara is scheduled between 8:30 and 9 am. We will depart north towards the Quebrada de Sapagua, approximately a 40-minute drive.

Upon arrival, a 1-hour hike will occur through the mountain range, where we will observe notable cave paintings and discuss their significance while reflecting on the Inca period and local history.

After the hike, we will proceed to the Hornaditas Community. The remainder of the day will be dedicated to exploring this small village, focusing on the ancient customs and culture of its residents. Activities include observing their crops, sacred sites, and learning traditional practices such as weaving and baking cakes.

A delicious lunch featuring multiple dishes and a drink will be provided, allowing us to experience local gastronomy while engaging in conversation with the families of the village.

The day trip concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Tilcara at 6 pm.
