Durrës Day Trip + Winery Visit

The Roman amphitheatre, the Sfinski Monument, the historic centre... Join us to discover all the wonders of Durrës on this day trip from Tirana.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at Rruga e Dibrës and drive to Durres, one of the most important cities in Albania.

After approximately 50 minutes of driving, we'll arrive and start our guided tour of Durres.

We will first visit the Roman amphitheatre, the main attraction of the city and one of the largest in the Balkan Peninsula. During our visit, we will explore its ruins and learn about its history.

Next, we'll visit the Sfinksi Monument, which offers views of the coast and the city. Following this, we will stroll through the historic centre of Durrës, where we will explore cafés, historic buildings, and markets while discussing the city's origins.

We will then drive for 30 minutes to the Duka winery. There, we’ll enjoy a 40-minute tour learning about winemaking, Albanian grape varieties, and regional soil properties.

After the tour, we will have a traditional lunch of homemade Raki, including appetizers, a meat main course, a seasonal salad, dessert, wines, and water.

You will then have free time to relax by the lake near the winery, with options for a kayak or boat ride.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point in Tirana, concluding this 8-hour tour.
