If you are passionate about sports and the great outdoors, embark on a hiking adventure through Peña del Rey. This stunning natural park features breathtaking views of the Neovolcanic Axis that delight every visitor!

Itinerary

Your journey begins between 7:00 and 7:25 am, when we will collect you from the designated meeting spot and transport you north to Peña del Rey in a 4x4 vehicle.

Upon arrival at the base of the mountain, we will disembark and set off on an invigorating three-hour hike up Peña del Rey. As we ascend, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the diverse plant life of the park and discover intriguing details about the wildlife unique to this Puebla region.

Throughout the hike, we’ll pause at various points to capture photographs and soak in the stunning landscapes. At the midpoint, we will enjoy a delightful breakfast featuring two savory dishes, paired with juice, fruit, and coffee.

The trek leads us to the summit of Peña del Rey, where a spectacular panoramic vista of Tlaxco and the mountains of the Neovolcanic Axis awaits, highlighted by the impressive Citlaltépetl towering at 5,636 meters (18,491 feet) in the distance!

As we begin our return, which will take approximately two hours, we will take another moment to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch composed of three different regional dishes.

Following lunch, we will return to the vehicles and proceed to Apizaco for a traditional temazcal ritual. This ancestral ceremony practiced in central Mexico is a steam bath renowned for its therapeutic benefits, providing a soothing end to our day!

The experience concludes between 7 pm and 8 pm, bringing us back to our starting location.
