Private Day Trip to Kawagoe
After meeting your guide at Shunjuku station, you'll board the train for Kawagoe. The journey will take just under an hour. Upon arrival, we'll go directly to Kita-in temple, an ancient Buddhist shrine built in the year 830, notable for its Rakan sculptures.
Next, we'll stroll through the city center, including Taisho Roman Street, where many buildings are over 100 years old and reflect life in the 1910s and 20s. We will pass by the black houses in the Ichiban-gai district, providing insight into the Edo period. Then, we'll visit the Toki-No-Kane bell tower, established in the 17th century.
Finally, we will explore Kashiya Yokocho, a street with shops selling traditional Japanese sweets, and enjoy a local snack. The tour concludes on Kashiya Yokocho street, from where you'll return to Tokyo independently.
