Nikko Day Trip

This tour from Tokyo to Nikko will take you to its iconic landmarks, including the Toshogu Temple, the Kegon Waterfall, and Lake Chuzenji.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet you at a central spot in Tokyo and depart for Nikko. After a scenic 2.5-hour bus ride, we’ll arrive in Nikko, where you’ll have about an hour of free time to explore. We recommend visiting the Shinkyo Bridge.

Our first major stop is the Toshogu Shrine, which houses the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa clan. We’ll explore the architecture and the cultural significance of the shrine.

Additionally, we’ll discuss unique details of Nikko’s temples, including animal motifs and their stories. Then, we’ll proceed to the Kegon Waterfall, followed by about an hour of free time for lunch nearby. After lunch, we’ll visit Lake Chuzenji for scenic views and photo opportunities.

After about an hour at the lake, we’ll return to Tokyo, arriving back at the meeting point, concluding this 11-hour tour.
