Private Day Trip to Kawagoe
After meeting your guide at Shunjuku station, you'll board the train for Kawagoe. The journey will take just under an hour. Upon arrival, we'll go directly to Kita-in temple, an ancient Buddhist shrine built in 830, where important Rakan sculptures are located.
Next, we'll stroll through the city center, including Taisho Roman Street, where you can see buildings over 100 years old and get a sense of life in the 1910s and 20s. We'll pass the black houses of the merchants in the Ichiban-gai district, reflecting the Edo period. Our next stop will be the Toki-No-Kane bell tower, a symbol of the city from the 17th century.
Finally, we'll stroll along Kashiya Yokocho, a street with stores selling traditional Japanese sweets and enjoy a local snack. After the snack, we'll end the tour on Kashiya Yokocho street, and you will return to Tokyo on your own.
