Workshop Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Izumiya Akasaka building, and we'll get ready to become true itamaes, Japanese chefs. Time to put on your chef's hat and apron and kick off this sushi-making workshop!
We'll start the class with the preparation of sushi rice, learning the secrets of a perfect shari. Once you've mastered this step, you'll be halfway to being a true itamaes.
Then, you'll be challenged to grate freshly made authentic wasabi. Pay attention to the chef to avoid any discomfort during this process!
We'll continue with the preparation of hand-rolled sushi with nori, using fresh ingredients. You'll have the opportunity to taste options such as uni, negitoro, hirame, kuruma-ebi, chutoro and akami sushi. There will also be professional demonstrations of fish preparation and various sushi techniques by a professional chef with an interpreter.
To complement this culinary experience, you'll enjoy a special wakame udon and a complimentary drink of your choice between beer, sake, cola or green tea.
Before the end of our workshop, lasting approximately 2 hours, you'll be able to take some photos to remember the experience.
