Visit the world's largest fish market on this tour of the Tsukiji district in Tokyo where you'll get to taste fresh fish and enjoy a traditional meal.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time at Tsukiji Station to visit what was once the largest fish market in the world.
The tour will begin at an old marketplace, where we will visit a small Zionist shrine and the Tsukiji Hongan-ji Buddhist temple, dating back to the 17th century.
Next, we will explore the streets that formerly housed the Tsukiji Market. Although the large fish market has moved to the island of Toyosu, many famous fish shops remain in Tsukiji.
During the tour, we will taste oysters and other local fresh fish products. We will also dine in a restaurant to enjoy donburi, a traditional Japanese dish made with fish meat and vegetables.
Afterwards, we will ascend to an observatory for panoramic views of the area. The tour will conclude back at the starting point after a total of 3 hours.
