Visit the world's largest fish market on this tour of the Tsukiji district in Tokyo where you'll taste fresh fish and enjoy a traditional meal.
Tour Details
We'll meet at Tsukiji Station at the designated time to visit what was once the largest fish market in the world.
The tour begins at the old marketplace, starting with a visit to a small Zionist shrine and the Tsukiji Hongan-ji Buddhist temple, which dates back to the 17th century.
Next, we will explore the streets that formerly housed the Tsukiji Market. The large fish market is now on Toyosu Island, but numerous famous fish shops remain in Tsukiji.
During the tour, we'll taste oysters and other local fresh fish products. We will also dine at a restaurant to enjoy donburi, a traditional Japanese dish of fish meat and vegetables.
Afterwards, we'll ascend to an observatory for panoramic views of the area. The tour concludes back at the starting point after a total of 3 hours.
